Facebook Basics - Post a Picture
We’ve all been there, enjoying the company of grandkids in the park, they do something funny or cute, perhaps eat sand or go down the slide? You capture the joyous moment on your phone and just like this moment brightened up your day, you want to share the moment with all your friends and family on Facebook because it’s too adorable to not share! But, you’re not quite sure how to do so. We’ve got you covered. Here are easy to follow instructions on how to post pictures to Facebook from your mobile device.
MOBILE OR TABLET POSTING
At the top of the Facebook homepage, you will notice the “add Photos/Videos” under “make a post. Select “add Photos/Videos”
Once you select “add Photos/Videos”, the camera roll on your phone will pop-up. This will display your camera roll, starting with the most recent pictures. Select the picture that you would like to upload, in this case, we want to upload your granddaughters’ charismatic and beautifully painted face- select the picture.
After the desired picture is selected. You will be redirected to Facebook’s page. There are built-in editing features for photos, including auto-enhance, rotating, and you can even add stickers. Above the picture, you have the option to “say something about this photo”- click to add context to the picture if you would like to do so.
You are now ready to post. If you are happy with the picture you selected and the caption. Click the “Share” button on the top right corner, and ta-da! Your picture has now been uploaded. If you want to tag friends or Sierra’s mom, click “tap to tag friends”, type the name of individuals you would like to tag. (Note that if you “tag” a friend in a post, the default setting is that your friend’s friends will be able to view it)
Sharing moments in person is irreplaceable. However, sharing moments with family and friends who are in other parts of the country or world, can be an opportunity to enjoy those moments with you through social media.
